The Beale Street Murphey Mile is part of the Ed Murphey Classic and will take place on Friday, July 11th on Beale Street!
The event will consist of a 1 mile road race on a course surrounding iconic Memphis landmarks like the FedEx Forum, Beale Street, The Orpheum and more!
This event is for youth and adult runners and will end with a men's and women's professional mile race. Following the road mile, you can stick around to enjoy the Buck Ewing Beale Street Pole Vault featuring some of the best pole vaulters in the World!
Every adult runner gets one ticket for a free beverage at Alfred's following the race!

Ed Murphey Classic - July 12th
On Saturday, July 12, the Ed Murphey Classic takes over the Billy J. Murphy Athletic Complex at the University of Memphis! This one-of-a-kind event pairs Olympic-level track & field with food trucks, live music, and an electric atmosphere you won’t want to miss! All Beale Street Murphey Mile participants can bring their race bib to the University of Memphis on Saturday July 12 and receive two free general admission tickets!
